A DNA sequence encoding the Chikungunya virus (CHIKV)(UVE/CHIKV/2024/RE/CNR_79903) E2 / Envelope 2 (PV593524) (Ser326-Gln666) was expressed with a c-terminal AVI tagged polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The expressed protein was biotinylated in vivo by the Biotin-Protein ligase (BirA enzyme) which is co-expressed.

The recombinant Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) (UVE/CHIKV/2024/RE/CNR_79903) E2 / Envelope 2 comprises 357 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 40.16 kDa. It migrates as approximately 50.8 and 34.8 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
